  • Vegetable oil 60ml
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Snoek
  • Chutney 50 ml
  • 1 Chilli, red or green
  • Frozen peas 410g
  • Salt and Pepper for taste


  1. Heat oil in a wide but shallow pan on the fire, toss in the chopped onion and braise
  2. Toss the peas in the pan and braise well. Add chilli is optional.
  3. Season the snoek with salt and pepper
  4. Spread chutney evenly on the inside of the snoek
  5. Place your snoek in a foldable braai grid
  6. Place on a hot fire
  7. Take snoek of the fire and take out all the fish bones
  8. Mix the shredded snoek with the onions and peas. Mix well
  9. Serve with a lovely salad or rice.
